Hello! I'm Martín, the new GM for Louisville. This is my first OOTP online league. As a kid, I absolutely loved Radio Baseball & then Earl Weaver Baseball—heck, in high school I tried to write my own version of Radio Baseball on QuickBasic & got just enough of it done that I could watch the '87 Cardinals beat up on my '87 Cubs—but then life intervened & I forgot about baseball simulators until recently, when I discovered OOTP.

I look forward to meeting you all! Playball!

You're totally in the right league. I would let my Tandy x86 run for a week, if necessary, to sim Earl Weaver Baseball 2. Steve (Virginia Beach) is another EWB fan, we even had a nostalgia post on it in recent months. Welcome to the league, we're glad to have you.

I trust you'll find Louisville in really good shape. The last GM was a long-term GM, and only resigned as he's travelling in China over the next 6 months.
Cheers,

I noticed that nostalgia post: that's actually what inspired me to mention it here.

I'm researching my team & the league (considering the size, this could take a while), but Louisville does seem to be in good shape. Looks like I ended up in one tough division! Louisville really won 95 games twice? Coming in second place twice? Once by 7 & the other by 20 games?!?!? Rough. Good thing that I enjoy a challenge.

Edit: I was looking at the expected record. It was actually 93 & 94 games. Point still stands.
