News - Some Changes in the league

Post  hbomb on December 7th 2010, 9:44 pm

I know some of you are going to be wondering about today's sim. I try to run this league as democratically as possible, but on occasion it's required that changes are made without delay.

1. Draft pick bonuses. Gone. Was not working out as intended, absent or absent minded GMs were not signing picks, or worse, not allocating to minors, thus losing the farm for future GMs.
2. Establishment of a second 4-team parallel league (cities: Hamilton, Niagara Falls, Miami, Buffalo) . Designed to be a feeder tank for future teams, and structure. Does not compete against FCB for FA's
3. Re-alignment. Recruiting GM's has been difficult for the moment, given the time of year.. etc. We are also going to be in a better position to recruit, once league graphics/uniforms (see our website for a sample) and website/forum refresh are complete. To deal with a few vacancies, I've parked some teams in a second parallel league for now.

It's not fun to compete against a computer, and this parking lot serves a good purpose of preserving teams until they are ready to be promoted. It also allows the commish to refocus efforts on team graphics and website / forum changes that are coming up.
