New Guy questions...
This league has a few settings I have never encountered before in my leagues so I have some questions (as well as others just to be certain)...
1. Any specific rules around contract offers (ie. no more than five years) etc.?
2. I see that you can't offer incentives unless asked but how is this verified? I never offer them anyway so I'm just curious...
3. Any specific rules around FA offers and these players from Japan or other feeder leagues? Are they all visible right in our league FA list or do I have to go to other leagues and inspect them? I have never played with feeder leagues so any tips here would help.
4. With so many minor levels (something else I am not used to) is it basically best to just let the coaches move the players around?
5. With free agent compensation, can I actually lose one of my picks if I sign a FA or is it just a sandwich pick that is created (and I still keep mine)?
6. Any other things I may need to know with the offseason upon us? Keep in mind I am an experienced GM so I don't need to be told basic stuff... I just haven't used feeder leagues, free agent compensation or potential-only.

Re: New Guy questions...
1. No specific rules on # of years for contracts...If you want to sign a guy for 10 years, have at it.
2. We have 3 guys who look at all the contracts that get signed and verify.
3. The Japanese League and INDY league are seperate Independent leagues where FA who go unsigned can go play in rather than sit in FA. You are only permitted to sign them once they become FA and enter the FA pool. You have to select the other leagues in game to view the players in the other leagues.
4. Its up to you how you want to handle it...Personally, I manage all my my minor league teams manually. I guess I am some what of a micro-manager. But again whatever method works best for you
5. Yes you can lose draft picks by signing a Type A or Type B FA. The top half of round 1 picks are protected, so if your picking in the top 10 of round 1, your 1st round pick is protected and the team you sign a FA away from is awarded a sandwich pick at the end of round 1. 2nd round picks are not protected, so signing a type B will lose you your 2nd round pick.
6. Not really a lot I can think of at the moment. The Feeder leagues are only really different in that you can watch the future draft prospects play prior to them showing up in the pool rather than randomly appearing.

The players who leave the Japanese Nippon league to come over to the US will automatically appear in our free agent pool.
So, when looking to sign free agents you only have to check our FCB fa market as all eligible players will migrate over to the one pool during the off-season.
You can always go to the other leagues in game or on the html reports and have a look around, but the players will migrate to the FCB free agent pool when they are eligible to be signed.
