Bad News
Well guys, I just got some bad news which affects the league and its long term viability.
Jarrod has informed me today he is quitting the league and OOTP altogether to focus on other things in his life. Not only do we lose a guy who put alot of work into the graphics on the site among other things, but we also lose the guy who was to take over the league full time when I step away in August when my 2nd child is born.
My wife is not due until August 27th, so I have no problems running things until the kid is ready to pop out, but obviously that is no exact science. My first was a week early, so obviously this one could be early as well. So with the future full time commish stepping away, we are left with a few options...
1. Finish out the rest of the 2014 season, or at least hope we can get through the season before my wife pops. Maybe by then Jarrod will feel better about things in his personal life and rejoin us(I doubt he returns that soon, but there is a slight chance, who knows.) If my calculations are correct, staying on a 4 day a week sim schedule, the final regular season sim would be August 14th.
2. Call it quits now
3. Someone else takes the reigns of the league(though you would have to find your own hosting when it runs out in August or September)
I will leave it up to you guys what you want to do. It's disappointing to come to this crossroads in the league, I've thoroughly enjoyed the league and everyone who has been apart of it. Certainly not what I envisioned happening, but I guess sometimes real life gets in the way.
Anyways let me know what you guys want to do..

Re: Bad News
I have dedicated & paid for webhosting space, would only need the domain "fullcountbaseball.net"
I would obviously be interested in having a co-commish, if someone wants to volunteer. Quote the wife: "do you have enough time to play all those cartoons?"
On another note, I think Jarrod and JT have done a great job with Fullcountbaseball. It's definitely one of the better leagues I've played in, and I'd be more than pleased to carry it forward, should people agree.
Well done guys.

Re: Bad News
Way to go, Harold. I was bummed earlier when I got JT's original e-mail. It would be sad to see the league fold. Glad to hear we have someone that can step up and take the reigns.
So, JT, are you going to still be an owner but not a commish, or are you having to step away completely after the baby is born? You and Jarrod have done such a great job with the league, hopefully you guys can stick around in some form.
