The file is converted and is uploaded. I made it a small file since I know we have some GM's who are running on slow connections, but I will also upload an images file for those who wish to plug those into their file.

You will need to log into the front page to download the new file

End of season awards are up on the forums as well, so if you have yet to vote, head on over and get your votes in.

Next sim will be Arbitration and will run June 14th, exports due by 1 PM EST. Yeah the time is a bit different and this will be the new standard time for the near future. It works much better with my schedule.

No one worry!

As JT mentioned, it appears that the online settings did not transfer with the conversion. I am unable to export as well but the problem will be resolved ASAP.

Thanks!

Full Count now converted to OOTP11 Empty Ok I think I have it figured out

Post  San Diego June 11th 2010, 9:59 pm

Hey guys, apparently I was supposed to include a separate settings file(sorry im new to OOTP11 as well), so I sent it via email to everyone.

This should fix the errors in exporting/importing...

So download this small file....Go into the game, on the OOTP menu you will see an Online settings options. Go there and you should see an option to import account data file. Click that, find the file you just downloaded and import it in and you should be all set to go.

Any other problems just let me know

I show a successful import from you.Just to verify it worked, you made one transaction sending C Craig Jackson to AA?

I think I just need to adjust the links on the export tracker.

Are we going to enable the new Advanced Draftee Signings feature?

From the OOTP11 Online Manual: When the draft begins, you will have a choice of whether or not to enable Advanced Draftee Signings. When Advanced Draftee Signings are disabled, drafted players automatically sign contracts for their stated demands. The Advanced Draftee Signings feature is more realistic, and requires teams to negotiate with draftees selected in the first five rounds of the draft as well as players drafted later who have a specified signing bonus demand (ie not "slot"). Teams must sign players before a deadline (usually two months after the draft), or risk the player returning to the draft in the following season.

Sounds good. My only concern for this season is that Philadelphia and Toronto both have over $10 million in negative cash and I'm not sure what impact that will have on their ability to fully participate in the rookie draft. Some cash adjustments might be necessary.

I wonder how much a typical draft will cost.

Yeah it will be interesting..I know in leagues with a smaller draft, it usually ended up in the 5-8 mil range, but obviously there are lots of variables with the different players having varying signing difficulties and such.

Personally, would prefer the old draft format, not just because my team is broke Smile The modern draft, with $$$ is turning into a prima-donna beauty contest.

Most features that bring OOTP into line with reality would seem to be desirable- but for an online league I think the new draft system is definitely not. It seems likely to be an unbalancing factor that is going to hurt some teams that cannot sign draftees-- since these are likely to be the already weaker teams it will create recruiting and retention problems.
